QCOSS Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Region:QLD
State:QLD

The QCOSS AGM will take place between 4:00-5:00pm Friday 28th November 2008 at QCOSS office, Ground Floor 20 Pidegeon Close West End (we invite all present to stay for refreshments).

As you are aware an agenda item for all AGMs is the election of new Board Members. This year there are three (3) general and three (3) regional Board Member positions available for election to the QCOSS Board. Members are invited to consider the nominations for these vacancies.

It is important to note there are two criteria that need to be met to be eligible for election to the QCOSS Board.
  • You must be nominated by a current member organisation or individual.
  • Once elected you must be prepared to become an individual member.
As an Individual QCOSS member and a QCOSS Board member your responsibility is to provide a governance role in the best interests of QCOSS. Board Members are not on the Board to represent a specific organisation or an industry view.

Each Board Member brings a range of skills and expertise to the QCOSS Board. The Board is looking to enhance its skills to better reflect the areas of work that QCOSS has forecast in its Strategic Plan. It has identified legal expertise and strong networking skills within the business community as two such areas. All members of the Board will work under the shared values of QCOSS as set out in its Mission Statement.

Currently the QCOSS Board meets bi-monthly in Brisbane for a full Friday or Saturday alternating. The travel and accommodation costs for regional members are met by QCOSS.
