The goal of the parenting course is to strengthen parents’ faith in their role as parents, to offer them practical tools for dealing with the daily challenges of child rearing and to familiarize them with the basic principles of solution-focused psychology as it applies to parenting.The parenting course will provide participants with the opportunity to explore the practice ideas and the application of course material. Attendance at the course will enable participants to be certificated by the Helisiki Brief Therapy Centre to deliver the course to groups of parents/carers at schools, childcare centres, counselling centres, clinics, social agencies and various organizations caring for the well being of families and children. The course is aimed at children aged three and above and is designed to be run over five sessions. It is suitable for single parents as well as for couples. A training manual is included.
