This two day workshop extends on the Lighthouse three-day Introduction to a Strengths Approach. It is ideal for those who are excited by the Strengths-based Approach and are looking to take the ideas further into their practice. We recognize that this journey is about having a hold on the ideas, as well as about the unique organizational context for practice. As such this workshop will offer participants opportunities to “move on up” to new levels of skill and understanding of a strengths approach, as well as considering ideas for supporting practice development in the unique context of their work. The training will be experiential and interactive, with plenty of opportunities to watch and reflect on demonstrations, have a go at using the ideas and skills, and share ideas with other participants. Examples from practice will be offered for reflection and deconstruction
