This is a skills based workshop that will provide the opportunity for participants to develop and practice externalising conversations in their work with service users and in supervision. Externalising and focusing on the “problem is the problem” offers considerable opportunities to challenge the influence of problems on people’s lives. As a practice tool it can frequently take a considerable amount of practice to unlock the potential of this new tool. With its sole focus on externalising, this workshop will allow participants to really come to grips with this idea and develop their practice of utilizing this tool in a variety of contexts with a variety of characters.
