Classification: QUEENSLAND COMMUNITY SERVICES AND CRISIS ASSISTANCE AWARD - STATE 2008 Level 5.1-5.3 Salary: $51,965 - $54,295 per annum pro rata Hours per week: 30 hours per week (4 days per week) Certified Agreement conditions including paid Maternity Leave, extra in-kind leave during Christmas closure, generous professional development budget and family friendly working environment. Join a passionate and creative group of women dedicated to working towards the elimination of domestic violence in our community. The Ipswich Women’s Centre Against Domestic Violence Inc. (IWCADV) is a community organisation providing a variety of services to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence in Ipswich and surrounding districts. The DV Advocate will work as part of a supportive team towards this goal. The DV Advocate is responsible for providing court support services directly to women who have experienced domestic or family violence. The DV Advocate will also coordinate a small volunteer pool; provide general services to women, service providers and the community including information, referral, crisis support, brief counselling and advocacy. In addition the DV Advocate will be required to undertake a level of organisational and administrative work. Preferred qualifications; relevant tertiary degree and experience.
