Over the next few months QCOSS will be holding a series of webinars on cost-of-living issues.
In the first webinar of the series we will cover energy concessions. There have been some recent changes announced to the Queensland Government’s Electricity Rebate and Home Energy Emergency Assistance Scheme (HEEAS) which will make these concessions more accessible to Queenslanders in need. Join us to find out what the new eligibility requirements are, and how you can help your clients access these concessions to help ease the cost of their energy bills. You will also have the opportunity to have your questions answered by representatives from the Queensland Government.
The webinar will cover:
- An overview of the energy concessions available in Queensland
- What are the new eligibility requirements for the Electricity Rebate and how can people apply?
- What are the changes to the Home Energy Emergency Assistance Scheme (HEEAS) and how can people apply?
- Q&A with Deborah Guy, Manager Service Delivery (Card and Concession Services) and Carlye Sycz, Manager, Department of Energy and Water Supply.
