Disability

Queensland’s per capita spending on support for people with disabilities is lower than any other state or territory. Of the 14,178 people living with a disability on the State Government’s register of need for support, 6,233 (44%) receive no support or funding. QCOSS calls for appropriate levels of funding for disability services to strengthen the available support and the workforce. We address the needs of people with disabilities through our annual state budget submission and take advantage of various other opportunities to advocate to government.
