Workers with quality assurance, audit, certification, accreditation responsibilities for managing privacy functions, responding to requests for personal information or steering organisational practice regarding personal information management in community-based child protection and disability services.
The workshop program
The program includes presentations (and the opportunity to ask questions) about common tensions and dilemmas in:
- Gathering informed consent taking account of capacity to consent and timing issues
- Embedding best practice principles when responding to personal information requests
- Privacy and social media, mandatory reporting of data breaches under Commonwealth legislation
The final session is a panel discussion involving presenters, an industry representative and a service user to respond to audience questions and delve further into the nuts and bolts of decision-making in these areas
