Recent Meetings with Government

Our engagement with the State Government continues. Over the past week we have met with a number of departments including a follow up meeting with the Commission of Audit. We provided a substantial amount of information to the Commission on matters ranging from the contribution of the not-for-profit sector to the advantages of investment into prevention and early intervention. QCOSS also provided a copy of its submission to the Queensland Competition Authority on reducing the burden of regulation to the Commission. Recent conversations on housing affordability with the state government have led to QCOSS being invited to participate in a roundtable discussion on housing affordability.
