Richard Fidler Dinner - Monday 8 August

When:
Mon, 08/08/2011 - 7:00pm - 11:00pm
Where:
South Bank River Room, South Bank, Brisbane
Summary:
Join Richard Fidler for dinner - and a 'fairly' fun time on the couch

In a standout feature of the 2011 QCOSS Conference, Richard Fidler will be joining us for dinner.

Leading a panel discussion that is guaranteed to be a light-hearted and completely lacking in "evidence-based-practice" - the charming, inimitably funny and provacative Mr Fidler and friends will ponder the big question: how does Queensland become fairer?

Fidler fans and 'fair' enthusiasts can register by completing this form.

Who will be Richard's guests on the couch?

The secrets are trickling out...

Richard will be chatting with the CEO of the largest multicultural organisation in Queensland (based in Logan City and specialising in settlement, employment, family support and community capacity building services for newly arrived migrants and refugees)... A couple of years ago this CEO attended the UNHCR’s annual consultations with NGO’s in Geneva, Switzerland.

Richard will also match wits with a formidable yarner and prominent social justice campaigner of more than 30 years. A Torres Strait Islander, who speaks from a firmly grounded perspective – who has led training and promotions initiatives, in both the public and private sectors, around health, education, research and reconciliation. And has been on numerous Councils, Boards and committees...

And if Richard was not working hard enough to get a word in edgeways... his final guest is a highly respected human rights and disabilities advocate with a broad knowledge of the policy landscape, both internationally and nationally. A recipient of a Human Rights and Equal Opportunities Medal in 2005, this speaker is relatively new to a role with fairness firmly at the forefront.

Do you know who they all are yet?
