A vision for a fair Queensland

It was good to see the Queensland Government release the A fair Queensland strategy this week. The Queensland Council of Social Service has been advocating for a whole of government strategy to ending poverty in this state for over five years. The fair Queensland strategy is a start towards addressing disadvantage in Queensland.

A strong and viable community sector is essential in delivering a fair Queensland. Having the not for profit sector deliver the services outlined in the strategy is an important part of ensuring locals are engaged in finding solutions appropriate for their area.
