About the presenter

Fergus Brooks is National Practice Leader, Cyber Risk at Aon Risk Solutions.

With more than 20 years commercial and consulting experience in the information, communications and technology (ICT) sector, Fergus has a deep understanding of how cyber risk issues arise, and how best to mitigate them.

His background includes consulting, solution architecture and sales with organisations whose clients have included some of the world’s largest customers of high-end network and computing solutions.

In his role as National Practice Leader for Cyber Risk at Aon, Fergus works with the Financial Specialties team to help clients identify their cyber risk exposures and secure their ICT infrastructure. In many cases, this risk can be largely mitigated through the deployment of various technologies, the implementation of processes or the hiring of specialist IT security personnel.
