On 22 February 2018 further obligations for organisations subject to the Privacy Act came into effect. To assist your organisation better understand the impact of these changes Paxton-Hall Lawyers and QCOSS will be presenting a webinar – What you need to know about Privacy Act changes.

Are you impacted?

Generally, businesses with an annual turnover of more than $3 million and all health service providers are organisations which are already subject to the Privacy Act and will also be impacted by these changes.

What is different?

These organisations must now report a 'notifiable data breach' to any affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

This webinar will assist your organisation understand what the changes mean to you.  It will answer the questions:

  • What is a notifiable data breach?
  • What do organisations need to do?
  • How can organisations prepare?

If your organisation has an annual turnover of $3 million or provides any health services your organisation needs to be across this and the officer in your organisation who is responsible for managing your privacy requirements should attend this webinar.
