More useful information for your organisation during the COVID-19 pandemic
We are all being inundated with updates as the situation around the COVID-19 pandemic changes day to day and hour by hour. From QCOSS’ perspective we want to ensure that all the information the community sector needs is in one place. That’s why we’ve created a COVID-19 section on Community Door and will continue to post information that is relevant to the sector.
Template for workplace guidelines for COVID-19 response
As part of our ongoing business continuity plan QCOSS has developed Workplace guidelines for COVID-19 response for our staff. The guidelines include information about our working from home arrangements, ways of working, travel, meetings and events.
The guidelines have been developed based on a template from the Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS). You can find a copy of our guidelines on Community Door which you can adapt to use for your own organisation.
With many community organisations facing complex human resources situations right now, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ), via Department of Employment, Small Business and Training funding, is offering free CCIQ membership for 12 months for any Queensland based employer. This means organisations can access the CCIQ helpline immediately to get good and timely industrial relations advice.
To register for free membership sign up on the CCIQ website by 31 March 2020.
We will continue to add relevant information and links to the COVID-19 section on the Community Door website to keep you up to date with the latest information affecting your community organisation and your clients. Tomorrow we intend to provide information about the supports that are available for the people and communities we serve.
Visit Queensland Health website for the most reliable source of health information for Queenslanders.
Safe Work Australia, Fair Work and Queensland Government’s Workplace Health and Safety office have information about health and safety in the workplace including legal obligations of employers and employees.
As always, please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or updates about what is happening in the community sector. For COVID-19 related issues, contact us on [email protected].
