Community of Practice meeting - Ensuring the voices of people with lived experiences are heard
For many years, people with lived experience have advocated to be involved in redesigning the human service system. While they have achieved some success—for instance, there are now organisational policies that make sure people with lived experience are included in steering committees and paid for their knowledge and time—there is still room for improvement.
With place-based approaches, we have opportunities to ensure the views of people with lived experience are consistently and meaningfully integrated into service design and delivery.
In this community of practice session, our guest speakers will discuss place-based approaches that integrate the voices of people with lived experience. We will talk about strategies to ensure the voices of people with lived experience are sought, included and honoured in decisions made about their futures.
