Community of Practice meeting - Ensuring consumer voices are heard: The successes, benefits and challenges of including children and young people in decision making

Child protection remains a hot topic in Queensland, and despite ongoing reforms to the Child Protection Act as well as the child protection system, the number of children and young people in and entering care remains high.

In this community of practice session, we will discuss ways to ensure the out of home care experience is as positive as possible for those children and young people who find themselves in this system. We will also talk about ways to ensure their views and wishes are genuinely sought, included and honoured in decisions made about their futures.

This event is open to members of the Queensland Community of Practice (Place-based Approaches). Find out about the Community of Practice and join here. This group is free to join.
