Human rights knowledge = Community participation

Registration is closed for this event
The Queensland Human Rights Commissioner sees a future where “People are able to identify when their human rights are limited and to take steps to protect their human rights”

Community services are in a unique position to cultivate human rights knowledge among the people they support while providing a safe environment for a person to exercise their rights. But how do we do this?

In this session, we will hear how housing and homelessness services are empowering people to have a voice and, while doing this, changing human rights culture and enhancing a person’s capacity to participate in their local community.
