Lunchbox session: Truth telling and treaty

In June, The Queensland government passed the Path to Treaty Act. This presents all Queenslanders with a profound opportunity to engage with the truth of our past and work towards closing the gaps experienced by First Nations people.

Participation in the Path to Treaty is an important step for the community sector workforce in supporting the achievement of equal rights for our First Nations service users.
In this lunchbox session, First Nations organisation, We al-li, will lead a discussion on the importance of truth telling and treaty.

You will deepen your understanding of why truth telling is so important on the pathway to treaty, what truth telling might look like and what a treaty could achieve.
This is a valuable opportunity to gain clarity about the Path to Treaty in a safe and supportive environment.

We Al-li aim to cultivate and nurture the experience of exploring with curiosity—a lifelong process of seeking and sustaining wholeness—by providing learning environments where this exploration happens in safety.
