Come along to one of our tender writing workshops. We can help you develop a proposal that gives you the best chance of success in a competitive funding environment and when applying for Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW).

QCOSS is again partnering with the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training to deliver workshops across the state to help community-based organisations respond effectively to funding applications.

While the workshop will focus on Skilling Queenslanders for Work, the tips learned will certainly help you with other funding proposals or grant applications.

If you’ve applied for Skilling Queenslanders for Work before we’ll give you some reminders about how you can make your application stand out from the crowd.

If you’re new to grant writing or funding applications we’ll give you a process and some tools to help you write a great application every time.

If you’re an experienced tender writer we’ll give you some checklists to save time, as well as tips to take your funding applications to the next level and improve your success rate.

There will also be an opportunity to network with people from other organisations in your region and share your ideas about regional priorities and opportunities.

Please note: The workshop will focus on the Skilling Queenslanders for Work program, and will use examples based on the SQW application. However, the tips and processes learned will certainly help you with other funding proposals or grant applications.

What’s not covered?

The workshop won’t cover details about each of the different SQW programs, how to use the SQW Apps application portal or general information that will be covered in the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training Information Sessions.

People from community services organisations who have little or no experience in writing funding applications and have to do it as part of their job.

Experienced tender writers looking for tips to improve their funding applications and improve their success rates.

Employees at community organisations who are responsible for writing funding applications for Skilling Queenslanders for Work and are looking for information on how to make their applications stand out.

If you’ve attended one of our SQW workshops in the past there will be some updated content and new tools, so come along for a refresher.
