QCOSS 2020 State Election Leaders Debate
365,000 Queenslanders are receiving JobSeeker, 25,600 families are on the social housing waitlist and the Australian Community Sector Survey shows just one in five of Queensland's services have been able to meet demand during the COVID crisis.
While all politicians may speak of benefitting all Queenslanders, people experiencing vulnerability in our state need sustained commitment.
Find out first hand the views of our political leaders and their commitment to the community services sector, the cost of living, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander justice, child protection and youth justice, domestic, family and sexual violence, disability and housing.
This discussion is needed now more than ever during COVID and before the state election on 31 October 2020.
Labor's Minister for Communities, Disability Services and Seniors, The Honourable Coralee O'Rourke and LNP's Shadow Minister for Communities, Disability Services and Seniors, Dr Christian Rowan have committed to attend the debate.
Attendees will have the opportunity to share their questions with Minister O'Rourke and Dr Rowan via a live Q&A. You can also submit your questions in advance to the Events team: [email protected]
