Untangling Privacy, Consent, and Information Security in the Social Service Sector

Registration is closed for this event
The Quality Collaboration Network, along with QCOSS and PeakCare, warmly invite you to our final event of the year where we will untangle some of the complexities around consent, privacy and information security.

The introduction of Queensland’s Human Rights Act prompts us to think carefully about privacy, consent, and the challenge of balancing different family member’s needs and rights. How do we ensure our documentation and systems best serve service users, and how do we maintain privacy in a collaborative space?

Presentations and discussions will focus on:

  • Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles – presented by The University of Queensland
  • Confidentiality, youth and the law – presented by the Youth Advocacy Centre
  • Rights, Risk and Writing Case notes – presented by various panelists
  • Information Security – presented by PeakCare

The Quality Collaboration Network is a peer-led network for those involved in implementing the Human Services Quality Framework within their organisation. This event will be the beginning of many continuing conversations over 2022 and will be suitable for anyone managing quality and compliance within their organisation.
