Workshop: A human rights-based complaints process

Homelessness and housing service providers who give service users safe and supportive avenues to advocate for their human rights, create an environment in which their clients thrive and their services improve.

A key way for service providers to empower their users is to provide them with a robust and useful complaints procedure which fosters active and regular feedback. This feedback allows service providers to enhance their services for all users.

At this practical, hands-on workshop, participants will have the opportunity to review and refine their existing procedures in a group work setting. The session will also cover the legislative requirements of a human rights-based complaints process and how it should be implemented.

Please bring your own complaints documents to workshop them with colleagues across the sector.
