The Capricornia Advisory Group for Strengthening our Place (a partnership between the Queensland Family and Child Commission and Queensland Council of Social Service) invites Expressions of Interest to participate in a Leadership Development Program, delivered by Think Impact. This two day program will provide leadership development in the context of social and collective impact, which was prioritised by the Advisory Group as a need in the region.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Look beyond ‘now’ and create opportunities to work with others
  • May have a lived experience of being a service user
  • Are committed to work with others for positive change in Capricornia
  • Are open to new ways of working and thinking

This two day forum with be an opportunity for services to work together on a variety of solutions in response to complex issues in the region of Capricornia. Because the purpose is to enact change, we are seeking individuals who have some level of influence in their service. This does not mean we are looking only for those officially in a leadership positions (such as CEO or Manager), but you should have support from your workplace to give momentum to some of the actions discussed during the program.

Additionally, we are looking for both emerging and established leaders. We would like to work with those who are up and coming in this region and acknowledge those currently in a leadership position offer valuable experience and skill. Those who are established leaders may provide a mentorship role. Please indicate whether you would like to apply for this forum as an emerging or established leader by filling out the expression of interest form.

This program is supported by the Central Queensland Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services.
