FairPlay vouchers is an initiative under the Queensland Government’s Activate! Queensland 2019–2029 strategy to support regular participation in physical activity, by reducing the cost for children and young people from low-income families.

Parents, carers or guardians can apply for a voucher valued up to $150 for eligible children and young people.

These vouchers can be used toward the cost of membership, registration and/or participation fees for eligible activities with registered physical activity providers.

What about Get Started Vouchers?

FairPlay vouchers has replaced the Get Started Vouchers program.

When will applications for FairPlay vouchers open?

Applications will be available in two rounds per year from July 2019.

Round 2 of FairPlay vouchers will open for applications on 22 January 2020.

How do I apply for a FairPlay voucher?

Applications for FairPlay vouchers can be made online at qld.gov.au/fairplayvouchers.

Who is eligible?

up to $150To be eligible, the child or young person must be:
• a Queensland resident
• aged between 5 and 17 years (on the day of application).

The child or young person must also:
• hold, or have a parent, carer or guardian who holds a valid Department of Human Services Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card with the child’s name on it; or
• be identified for a FairPlay voucher by a registered referral agent.

There is a limit of one voucher per child/young person per calendar year.
