The $850,000 Food Rescue Grant Program (the Program) is now open for applications.

The Program will provide grants of up to $200,000 to food rescue organisations for infrastructure, equipment and operational costs to divert additional food from landfill and redistribute it to Queenslanders in need.

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Be a not-for-profit organisation incorporated under section 111K of the Corporations Act 2001.
  • Be an organisation with the primary purpose of food rescue and providing food relief to Queenslanders.
  • Have operations established in Queensland.
  • Rescue food directly from a source where the food would otherwise go to landfill (e.g. a farm, supermarket or markets).
