Application Date: 27 August 2019 to 12 September 2019
Region: Australia wide
Amount: Up to $25,000
The Scanlon Foundation’s annual community grants round for 2019 will fund projects that support the transition of migrants into employment or support practical English literacy. Projects should consider the experience of migrants and of receiving communities and aim to nurture positive outcomes. All submissions are also expected to empower new arrival communities and develop cross cultural connections.
This year’s community grants will provide funding up to a maximum of $25,000.
The community grants will focus on 21 local government areas. Sometimes great projects exist outside these specific local government areas so there is the opportunity for organisations who are located outside of the listed LGAs, but within the identified states, to provide an expression of interest. This would require additional information as to why their area should be included.
Due to the Foundation’s existing, significant investment within Victoria this year’s community grants only call for expressions of interest outside Victoria.
Expressions of interest can be made by DGR1 eligible organisations for grants of up to $25,000 through Smartygrants.
Applications are now open and will close at 12pm midnight on Thursday 12 September 2019. Use this link to Smartygrants to complete an expression of interest form.
