Region: Sunshine Coast
Amount: Up to $3,000
Council’s Emergency Grants have been expanded and increased to help not-for-profit community organisations with costs requiring a rapid response. Not-for-profit organisations can now apply for an Emergency Grant for up to $3,000.
Where the declared Disaster Situation, COVID-19, has impacted not-for-profit community organisations, they can apply for assistance with:
- Costs that are having a significant impact on the organisation’s ability to continue to operate.
- Costs that are meeting the significant community need created by COVID-19.
- Where not-for-profit community organisations are experiencing financial hardship, operational expenditure will be eligible.
This program will also still support not-for-profit community organisations to fund projects that have arisen as a consequence of failure, damage or loss of essential equipment or infrastructure due to unforeseen circumstances, to this newly increased maximum amount of $3,000 (where necessary).
Council will strive to process these Emergency Grants applications within 2 weeks. These grants are open for application at any time. Further conditions apply, see council’s Emergency Grants webpage for further detail.
