About the job

Role location:     Slacks Creek
Role type:            Permanent, full-time
Pay range:           $85,393 a year, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available

In this role you will:

  • Provide information, referral, advice, assessment, and intake services to people experiencing homelessness.
  • Work one-on-one with people who need extra support to develop and implement a housing pathway plan, to explore available options and achieve their housing goals.
  • Support the Logan Zero project by contributing to our understanding of homelessness in Logan.
  • Work collaboratively with other services including financial counsellors, homelessness, domestic and family violence and employment services to provide holistic responses.

About you

  • you are optimistic, practical and solution focused, doing what it takes to back people to achieve solutions.
  • you are flexible and enjoy variety, including being comfortable working in a high-volume information and referral service as well as providing case work to clients as required.
  • you understand housing and homelessness, the barriers facing people in housing crisis, while identifying pathways out of homelessness.
  • you have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with vulnerable people in immediate crisis.
  • you have qualifications in human services and/ or relevant experience.
