Gailes Community House is a not-for-profit community-based facility which provides a range of services and activities to enhance the lives of all age groups.
We are looking for an experienced person in Centre Coordination to become a part of – and lead – our team.

Gailes Community House is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Centre Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of its local community centre. This role will support staff and volunteers to achieve the goals and strategic direction of the Gailes Residents Committee Inc.
Organisational Environment: Gailes Residents Committee Inc. auspices Gailes Community House, a not-for-profit community managed and based organisation in the Ipswich suburb of Gailes. This centre provides a central meeting space, as well as programs and support services to Gailes and the broader community.

Remuneration: Part-time 28 hours per week, SCHADS – TPEO rate Level
Probation Period: 3 months
Period of Employment: 12 months. Position will be reviewed at 6 monthly intervals. After the 12-month period, the position will be subject to ongoing funding.
1.1 Overall operational management of Gailes Community House
1.2 Apply a high level of communication and program development skills
1.3 Active participation at key interagency/community meetings building new partnerships & network
1.4 Development and implementation of budget
1.5 Maintain relationships with key stakeholders
1.6 Liaise with all levels of government to lobby and advocate for the Gailes Community House
1.7 Facilitate access to a range of services
1.8 Collect and Collate statistical data related to the projects, outcomes and funding bodies.
1.9 Produce monthly reports to Management Committee – reflecting statistics, financial management and overall organizational health
1.10 Develop funding submissions/grants to enhance opportunities of support, programs and activities for families and children.
1.11 Work productively with minimal supervision & effectively manage workload & time management.
1.12 Provide supervision and overall support to staff and volunteers
1.13 Oversee the delivery and implementation of new and existing groups and activities
1.14 Develop events to benefit the community and promote the Gailes Community House to the wider public
1.15 Delegate tasks to members of the committee when required
1.16 Deliver one-on-one personal support with clients (as per funding agreement)
