Community Plus+ is a not-for-profit community-based organisation. We deliver a place-based, integrated Neighbourhood Centre model across Brisbane Inner South. Through a combination of centre-based and outreach activities, we are active partners with local communities in placemaking, working alongside partners, stakeholders, other agencies and community members to be the ears of the community, and the voice of Brisbane’s Inner South.


This role leads the delivery of the Community Connections & Belonging Project. This innovative project was developed from identified need through the Annerley Homelessness Network. It is a local, integrated and holistic community-based response to support people out of homelessness. Community Plus+ has partnered with Annerley Baptist Church to deliver this innovative project. The two organisations have worked in partnership to deliver successful community development projects since 2015.

Community Plus+ is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking community development worker to lead and maximise the impact of this project. This is a full-time role, however, a 9-day fortnight will be considered.

Success in this role looks like:

  • Achievement of project aims through strong collaboration with all stakeholders
  • Engaged volunteer group who are skilled in support and navigating housing pathways
  • Strong caring model of support maintained, and community connections facilitated
  • Sense of belonging for participants with support to access and sustain housing
  • New housing pathways and housing solutions developed with stakeholders
  • Project tracked and reported, with successes big and small celebrated
