DV Practitioner Laidley and Ipswich

Permanent position with probationary period. Commencing ASAP. The DV Practitioner is primarily based in Laidley and Ipswich and is responsible for participating on the intake and assessment roster as well as providing short term case management and crisis support to individuals who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence.

The DV Practitioner role will provide general services to women, such as the provision of phone and face to face information and referral, crisis counselling, advocacy, risk assessment, safety planning and short term case management.

The DV Practitioner role assesses women’s eligibility for Safety Upgrades brokerage as a function of the overall assessment, and refers eligible clients for brokerage where appropriate.

The DV Practitioner may also attend Domestic Violence Call over at one of the 3 Magistrate’s Courts serviced by DVAC as required. When attending court the DV Practitioner provides court support services and is supported by the DVAC Court Advocate Role.
