The Family Intervention Service is seeking an applications from individuals interested in joining their Logan based team as a Family Counsellor.
Do you have experience and a passion for working with families and children with a focus on early intervention and prevention? We are seeking a Family Counsellor to work full time in a permanent position with the Family Intervention Service, Logan.
This position provides a holistic response to the needs of families whose children are at imminent risk of out of home placement or requiring reunification following a period of out of home care. The Family Counsellor works intensively with families in their homes to address issues relating to, but not limited to, child protection concerns. By providing practical and emotional support and counselling, families are offered opportunities to make informed decisions about, and change for their future.
In addition to the above you will also be required to have:
- Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor’s Degree minimum) in a relevant human services field.
- Demonstrated skills and sound knowledge gained through substantial experience working with children and families.
- Hold a current open drivers licence.
- Hold or be eligible to apply for a blue card.
