Program Description:

The Family Support and Advocacy Team targets particularly vulnerable families who are either currently experiencing homelessness or at‐risk of homelessness in the greater Brisbane region. They provide information, referrals, support and advocacy to assist families to access emergency accommodation, prevent homelessness, find and or maintain suitable long-term housing and establish a home.

Micah Projects provides a range of support and advocacy services to individuals and families.


The Role:

Micah Projects is currently seeking a Family Support and Advocacy Worker to work as part of an integrated team supporting a mix of families including those experiencing homelessness and those at risk of homelessness. This includes assisting families in crisis accommodation to access affordable and permanent housing through proactive outreach and case management.

This is a full time, permanent position with a minimum of 38 hours of work available per week and is classified under the SCHADS Award 2010 at a Level 4.
