|We are seeking a passionate and experience Men’s Domestic and Family Violence Facilitator and Counsellor who has exceptional skills and knowledge in the area of Domestic and Family Violence to join our Sunshine Coast / Gympie team for a Permanent Part Time position.
The successful applicant must be male. This is a genuine qualification under Section 25 and 26 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act 1991. The position is 4 days a week and you will be located in Maroochydore.
The role will include engaging men who use violence, with a strong focus on safety for women and their children, using safety, accountability and responsibility frameworks. This position includes conducting individual intake and assessments with male clients to determine their eligibility and suitability for the 16-week Men Choosing Change (MCC) group program. The role requires ongoing risk assessments for the safety of women and children in partnership with the Women’s Advocacy and Children’s Counselling services.
