Program Description:

The Coordinated Access Team is an initial access point for people experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness in the greater Brisbane region.  Coordinated Access staff are skilled at
assessing the needs of people experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness and matching them, based on need and eligibility, to the best services to meet their circumstances. Coordinated Access Team focuses on the whole Brisbane community and acts in a triage role, assisting individuals and families to resolve crisis quickly.
They provide information and referrals, as well as support and advocacy to assist people to prevent homelessness, access emergency accommodation, find or maintain suitable long-term housing and establish a home.

The Role:

Micah Projects is seeking a Reception and Intake Worker for our Coordinated Access Team. This position is centre-based, providing reception and intake, phone and walk-in services to individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, by screening and triaging.

The position is anchored in evidence-based practice and requires accurate and timely information to be gathered, to enable Micah Projects to effectively assess the outcomes of services provided.

This is a permanent, full time position with a minimum of 38 hours of work available per week and is classified under the SCHADS Award as a Level 2.
