The Safer Families Initiative (SFI) is a cluster of services available to families that have experienced domestic and family violence. Within SFI, the Safer Families Team has partnered with Carinity Community Care, funded by the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women to provide intake, assessment and psycho-education for young people and carers into the ReNew Program. The ReNew Program is designed to support female protective care givers whilst assisting young males to understand use of violence, power and control, arising from the impact of domestic and family violence within their family and home.
Micah Projects is seeking a fixed term, full time Specialist Domestic and Family Violence Women’s Advocate Renew Program to support the female protective caregivers experiencing adolescent to parent violence referred into the program.
This is a fixed term, full time position to June 2023 (with the possibility to extend) with a minimum of 38hrs hours of work available per week, and is classified under the SCHADS Award as a Level 5.
