Beyond Borders Travel (BBT) is the UnitingCare Holiday Program. Our supported holidays are designed to help people with a disability make new friends, participate in the community and develop skills with a range of adventures offered in exciting destinations.

We are currently looking for people to get involved in the delivery of these small group adventures by supporting people with a disability.

The Role

As a Supported Travel Facilitator you will support the running of all aspects of travel and ensure the development of relevant life-skills for the people we support. You will also be responsible for ensuring all personal care needs of participants are satisfied as per the persons support profiles and upholding our excellent service delivery standards.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have proven skills in the delivery of group travel experiences and ability to deliver services within budget.
  • Draw from experience working with people with a disability, demonstrating passion in supporting others to live their best life.
  • Have highly developed communication skills
  • Demonstrate excellent time management
  • Be confident working in close partnership with key stakeholders, staff and volunteers to ensure all participants holiday experiences are of the highest standards, meeting or exceeding expectations.

About you

It is a requirement that all UnitingCare staff satisfy a criminal history check if required by legislation or policy.

Before commencing with UnitingCare you will also need to provide:

  • A Senior First Aid Certificate
  • A valid Driver’s License
  • An email address and certificate of completion for the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (Code of Conduct).

No Card No Start Legislation now requires all UnitingCare staff to obtain a Blue Card prior to starting employment.
