QCOSS is evaluating the Queensland Government’s On Country program.

The program focuses on young people who are:

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • aged 10 to 17 years old
  • repeat offenders with high and complex needs.

The On Country program has been piloted in Cairns, Mount Isa and Townsville. It aims to reduce rates of offending and strengthen young people’s cultural and spiritual connections.

As part of our evaluation, we are seeking feedback from communities across North Queensland to find out how the program has impacted your community, and how you think it could be improved.

Share your views on Mona’s On Country program at a community meeting in Mount Isa on 6 December.
