The QCOSS 2015 Queensland Election Platform document outlines the key actions an elected government will need to take now to achieve long-term wellbeing for all Queenslanders. To help in talking to candidates and raising awareness of local issues we have put together some localised data with key statistics such as the number of homeless people, jobless families and median income for each State Electoral District. With nearly 15 per cent of Queenslanders living below the poverty line, Queensland Council of Social Service (QCOSS) today calls on all candidates in the Queensland state election to be held on 31 January to commit to actions which will ensure the social and economic wellbeing for all.
