The rights of all Queenslanders are now enshrined in legislation after the Human Rights Bill 2018 was passed in Parliament yesterday. How does this impact young people in terms of accessing accommodation, housing and support?
This will be a key area of discussion at the upcoming PLATFORM 1225 forum with the keynote speaker Aimee McVeigh presenting on:
“When our rights come home – what a Human Rights Act means for Queensland”
If we believe in a socially inclusive and fair society, we need to find ways of ensuring that all are included. PLATFORM 1225 is an initiative of Queensland Youth Housing Coalition. Join us in unpacking this complex issue with the aim to ensure social inclusion for all young people.
Come along to hear the experiences and perspectives of a panel of young people and renowned guest speakers including Aimee McVeigh, Cameron Parsell, Nikki Chenoweth and many more!
Young people will be actively involved in this conversation.
