QCOSS Networks

Community Services CEO Network

The primary purpose of the Community Services CEO Network is to bring together community sector leaders to collaboratively identify issues impacting the wider sector and to provide an opportunity to share perspectives and shape solutions. Policy Networks

The QCOSS Policy Networks provide an opportunity to shape the QCOSS advocacy and research agenda. In 2021, QCOSS will be coordinating Policy Networks on the following topics:

Housing and Homelessness

This network will provide advice on matters relating to housing and homelessness and inform QCOSS participation in housing and homelessness related government engagement processes, including the Ministerial Housing Council and the Housing Security Subcommittee. Living Affordability

This network will provide advice on matters relating to cost of living and living affordability and provide input into the QCOSS Living Affordability Report. This Network meets three times per year. To register, email [email protected].

Women’s Equality

This network will respond and provide advice on matters relating to women’s equality and will work with the Office for Women in supporting the development of the next iteration of the Queensland Women’s Strategy. This Network meets four times per year. To register, email [email protected].

Essential Services Consultative Group

The Essential Services Consultative Group provides a channel for community organisations to have a voice on energy policy processes and contribute to government policy on key consumer reforms. This Group meets four times per year. To register, email [email protected].

Research and Evaluation Network

The Research and Evaluation Network provides an opportunity for collaboration and knowledge sharing in the area of research and evaluation, with the aim of more effectively utilising community sector resources to promote improved outcomes. This Network meets three times per year. To register, email [email protected].

Quality Collaboration Network

The Quality Collaboration Network is a peer-led network for those involved in implementing the Human Services Quality Framework within their organisation. It provides an opportunity to share experiences, information and resources on audit and quality matters, as well as identifying common issues across the sector to inform system updates to government. Monthly meetings offer guest speakers and discussion on a range of topics, while access to peers and experts provides a community of knowledge and experience to draw on for every-day support.

Involvement is open to quality, policy or compliance risk professionals working in community services non-government organisations in Queensland. To register, email [email protected].

Community of Practice

Place Based Work

This Community of Practice brings together service providers to share information around place-based issues and processes and to explore how placed-based approaches can collaboratively and innovatively address the needs of individual communities, allowing those community to implement local solutions for local issues.
