The term ‘service integration’means some form of ‘joint working’. This can range from loose collaborative arrangements, such as referral of clients and good communication between staff in different organisations to full integration where the resources of different organisations are pooled in order to create a new organisation.

Service integration is increasingly being applied in the housing and homelessness sector.

This report reviews peer-reviewed and grey literature on what service integration is, what are the challenges of implementation and the conditions for success, and how it can be applied in the housing and homelessness arena.
