Come along to one of our tender writing workshops. We can help you develop a proposal that gives you the best chance of success in a competitive funding environment and when applying for Skilling Queenslanders for Work.
QCOSS is again partnering with the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training to deliver workshops across the state to help community based organisations respond effectively to funding applications.
While the workshop will focus on Skilling Queenslanders for Work, the tips learned will certainly help you with other funding proposals or grant applications.

Why come to the workshop?

If you're new to grant writing we'll give you a process and some tools to help you write a great funding application every time.
If you're an experienced tender writer we'll give you some checklists to save time, as well as tips to take your funding applications to the next level and improve your success rate.
If you've been thinking about applying for Skilling Queenslanders for Work funding we'll give you some inside tips on what the department is really looking for in funding applications.
If you've applied for Skilling Queenslanders for Work before we'll give you some reminders about how you can make your application stand out from the crowd.
There will also be an opportunity to network with people from other organisations in your region and share your ideas about regional priorities and opportunities.

What's covered in the workshop?

  • developing a methodology for writing tenders
  • how to make your response stand out
  • what sort of evidence can you use and how to build it up
  • establishing value for money
  • how to address the assessment criteria
  • key pitfalls in writing funding applications
  • checklists and resources

What's not covered?

The workshop won’t cover details about each of the different SQW programs, how to use the SQW Apps application portal or general information that will be covered in the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training Information Sessions.

Who should attend?
