This is an exciting new position focused on delivering participatory community capacity and engagement activities across ten (10) local government areas, townships, community services sector and diverse communities covered by the North West Minerals Province. The position will also support development of a Community Resilience Strategy and Action Plans.
Based in Mt Isa, we are currently recruiting for an extraordinary Senior Community Capacity Officer. The position is part time up to a maximum of 30.4 hours per week (open to negotiation if required) fixed term concluding September 2019.
We are looking for someone with:
- Excellent participatory and community engagement and partnership development skills.
- Demonstrated skills working across diverse communities and community services sector enabling place-based responses.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- A Human/Social Services degree and/or relevant experience to deliver on the role.
