Social and community statistics

QCOSS has put together some localised social and community data with key statistics such as resident population, the number of homeless people, proportion of jobless families, median rent and median income for each Queensland State Electoral District.

This information can be used to compare statistics in each region with the Queensland average and can help in raising awareness of local issues affecting the community, for example when talking to local Members of the Queensland Parliament. We have also included the contact details for each Local Member.

To use the tool select the State Electoral District from the drop down box in the model to view the data for each area and compare it to the Queensland average.

For more information comparing the cost of living for low-income households across regional centres in Queensland, read our Cost of Living report.
