Our fortnightly update on a project that is making a difference.
The Capricornia Leadership Group are working on a demonstration project that will support the compilation, analysis and use of shared data, and will make recommendations for leaders within the child and family support sector in Capricornia regarding some shared actions. If you are interested in contributing to this project or want to know more, please contact Stacey at [email protected](link sends e-mail). We will be refining some of the details at our next meeting (19 July 2018), so this is the best time to have some influence if you have any ideas about what would be most useful!
Is there something in the data for CQ that you’d really like to see analysed further or given context with some stories from community? – Let us know!

In Hervey Bay, QCOSS supported Butchulla men to progress the Boys to Men program that is being developed by the Butchulla Mens Business Association. Uncle Glen Miller from the association hosted a presentation by Dr Arne Rubenstein from the Rites of Passage organisation to parents and community members at the Urangan High School on Monday night. The Butchulla Mens Business Association will be piloting the Boys to Men program in August with the help of Dr Rubenstein.
QCOSS also supported members of the Early Childhood sector in their quest to write a “State of the Children” report for the Fraser Coast. The initiative came out of a meeting of Early Childhood service providers and educators facilitated by QCOSS held on 6 June 2018.
