Diverting all young children from jails, watch houses and courts

Registration is closed for this event
A better alternative to the youth justice system is possible for children.

Currently children as young as 10 are locked up in Queensland prisons and watch houses. In this Human Rights in Action webinar we will hear about current Queensland Youth Justice laws from a human rights perspective and explore community-led, holistic, trauma informed solutions to divert all children younger than 14 away from the legal system.

This webinar shines a light on this important topic with powerful insights from legal, child rights and First Nations perspectives. We will also hear from local workers on the ground supporting children interacting with the justice system and making all communities safer.
