Grant Writing workshop: Putting your best proposal forward - Logan
Community organisations often have brilliant ideas for projects that suit the needs of their local community, but they may not have the resources or experience to apply for a funding grant.
This workshop will strengthen your grant writing and application skills and give you further resources to progress the vision of your organisation. You will learn:
- which funding opportunities are applicable to you
- how to respond to selection criteria
- how to provide strong evidence to support your proposal
- how to write clearly and concisely.
While the content of this workshop will be useful for all grant writing, we will be using Communities Innovation Fund as an example of a funding opportunity we can respond to with an impactful application.
This workshop will include a networking lunch during which you can discuss your ideas and find out more about funding opportunities in your community.
The Council Grants Team from Logan City Council will be facilitating a Grants Assist session after lunch to provide one on one support to organisations. This is an ideal opportunity to connect with funding opportunities and receive feedback on how to prepare a competitive grant application. If you have already have some ideas, you are welcome to bring them along to discuss with the team.
