Queensland Government – First Nations Arts Business Grants

First Nations Arts Business Grants focus on strengthening business skills and capacity of First Nations artists, artsworkers and arts and cultural organisations.

Supports Queensland-based First Nations arts and cultural practitioners, organisations and businesses to access business development services that:

  • strengthen cultural governance, business and strategic planning
  • increase corporate and commercial capacity to grow new revenue and market opportunities
  • enable professional upskilling and development for board and/or staff.

One-off grant of up to $10,000 (excluding GST) are available to fund the purchase of the following eligible services:

    • strategic and business planning
    • governance planning and related training
    • data and digital platforms and related training
    • financial processes including e-commerce and related training
    • human resources advice including succession planning.

Grants: Helping all Queenslanders get “Back to Work”

Closing date: 30 June 2024
Region: Queensland wide

The “Back to Work” program provides financial and non-financial support to Queensland employers and jobseekers facing disadvantage. Employers have access to two support payments:

  • Youth Boost ($20,000): To hire a jobseeker aged 15-24 who was previously unemployed for a minimum of eight weeks.
  • Back to Work Support Payment ($15,000): To hire a jobseeker from one of the identified target groups previously unemployed for a minimum of eight weeks.

With teams conveniently located throughout Queensland, getting personalised real-life support and guidance has never been so easy. One-on-one support for employers is available to help navigate the Queensland Government’s employer support services and Jobseeker Officers support and guide jobseekers into their career pathway.

Australian Government – National Women’s Alliances

The National Women’s Alliances grant opportunity is being provided by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Up to $10.88 million is available from December 2024 to June 2029 to establish a network of up to 6 civil society organisations to provide expert gender advice to Government and ensure women’s voices inform the implementation of the Working for Women: A Strategy for Gender Equality.

Applications are now open and close 5:00pm AEST on Wednesday 3 July 2024.

Pride Foundation Australia Small Grants Program

The Pride Foundation Australia Small Grants program will invest in projects that benefit either LGBTQIA+ individuals or community or strengthen LGBTQIA+ organisational capacity. Grants of up to $1000 are available. Eligible applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident, or a community group that is operating in Australia. Applicants need only be a group of people with a common interest. It is preferred that individuals / groups apply through an Auspice organisation, but it is not a necessary requirement.

Examples include but are not limited to funds towards:

  • Venue rental for meetings or social events
  • Advertising and marketing costs for events
  • Speaker’s fees
  • Artist’s fees
  • Website maintenance costs
  • Website hosting fees
  • Catering costs for community events
