Human Rights Network Meeting: Queensland Government Putting Queensland Kids First Consultation Draft

Registration is closed for this event
Join us to discuss the Queensland Government’s Putting Queensland Kids First Consultation Draft.

The Human Rights Network is a community services sector network for those deepening their capacity to understand human rights and apply this to their work.

The Network provides an opportunity to share experiences, information and resources on human rights and social justice matters within the community services sector, as well as identifying common issues across the sector to inform advocacy and submissions. Meetings offer guest speakers and discussion on a range of topics, while access to peers and experts provides a community of knowledge and experience to draw on for everyday support.

Involvement is open to anyone working in community services non-government organisations in Queensland.

February focus: the Queensland Government have released the Putting Queensland Kids First Consultation Draft. We will be joined by the Thriving Queensland Kids Partnership to explore key issues under this important blueprint on the wellbeing of children and young people from a social justice and human rights lens. The meeting will create an opportunity for attendees to provide feedback informing the QCOSS submission to this consultation, and to collaborate on their own thoughts and responses. Submissions to the consultation are due before 21 February 2024.

Find out more about the Youth Justice Reform Select Committee, and/or register to attend a public hearing taking place this February in Townsville, Cairns, Mount Isa, Toowoomba, Brisbane and Southport.
